Carrion Two Channel Distortion
For sure You know the classic RAT pedal... I love it too!
Carrion keeps for you everything that was awesome in this circuit and adds tons of additional functions to create your perfect dirty tone!
The core circuit was modeled after a vintage RAT pedal I owned.
I carefully matched parts to allow you to experience legendary tone but also added many tweaks so you can set it to any situation... and it has two switchable gain channels!
So it's like two gain pedals in one!
Additional Soft and Hard switches give you a chance to explore different harmonic content in your signal by introducing various soft clipping and hard clipping configurations. You can also bypass clipping diodes to get opamp clipping only, and massive volume boost. That means you can set it as light overdrive, distortion, or even fuzz just by changing clipping options and setting gain. You can always switch to the second gain to get a juicier or milder tone.
Another switch allows you to control the distorted low end - add more to make it fuzzy and buzzy!
Knobs:
Volume - output volume
Gain I - gain of channel 1, good for lower gain drives
Gain II - gain of channel 2, good for higher gain drives/fuzz.
Filter - cuts highs
Switches:
Soft - soft clipping switch (silicon diodes symmetrical/bypass-op amp clipping/LED+silicon asymmetrical)
Hard - hard clipping switch (silicon diodes symmetrical/bypass/LEDs)
Fat - boosts lower frequencies response before distortion
Footswitches:
Left - on/off
Right - Gain I/Gain II
Power Supply:
9V DC, 15mA, 2.1 / 5.5mm plug with negative polarity in the center (standard BOSS style)
An indestructible metal enclosure with engraved graphics and black matte powder coat ensures that the pedal will always look good even if you will play the hardest gigs at the end of hell.
